The educational process we go through plays an important role in the top 10 toughest exams in India. For the preparation of exams, students have to face aptitude tests which are fundamental to time management. And descriptive types of exams are more valuable for expressing their thoughts in words.

1. UPSC- Civil Service Exams

UPSC exams also known as Civil Service Exams, are known as the most important exams in India. The selected candidates are used to hire for top management jobs in the central government of India. UPSC exams cover IAS, IPS, and IFS services.

This exam includes three levels, preliminary, mains, and interview. Preliminary exams cover multiple-choice questions in particular subjects and general awareness exams. The main exams cover detailed knowledge about the selected subjects with descriptive types of questions. And finally, the interview is for personality exams.

The UPSC exam requires a lot of hard work and education, it covers a wide range of topics which makes it the toughest exam in India.  More than 10 lakh candidates appear in this exam which makes it one of the toughest exams in India.

2. IIT-JEE Exam

IIT-JEE Exams is for an engineering course at IIT, it's one of the most known Indian Institutes of Technology. They need to qualify for the Joint Entrance Exam. The candidate required 75% marks at the 12th or senior secondary standard. This is taken in two parts: the IIT-JEE mains exam and the IIT-JEE advanced exam. 

There are large numbers of students who appear in this exam for admission to IIT colleges. Only a few of them get selected to study in different IIT colleges all over India. It is a very big competition to understand the curriculum of this exam, it is one of the toughest exams in India.

Every year more than 6 million candidates appear in the exams and top candidates get selected for different IIT colleges. IIT-JEE is thought to be one of the toughest exams because its application-based exam covers how well the candidate knows the subject.

3. NEET- Medical Entrance Exam

NEET – the National Eligibility Entrance Test is for MBBS and dental courses from Indian Medical Institutes. This course is conducted by the National Testing Agency. This course refers to the pre-medical test CPMT. Every year 90 thousand seats are offered for MBBS and BDS, all over the country.

It is essential for this Medical Entrance Exam, that candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Exam (12th ) in the first division and with Science stream, with  Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.

After completion of their MBBS degree, they are provided a doctorate degree and appointed in government hospitals and private hospitals. BDS degree is for dentists, they are also appointed in government hospitals and they are authorized to start their private dental clinics.

4. UGC NET/ JRF

UGC NET or JRF is a well-known national exam. It is used to select teachers, and assistant professors for the job of Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) at different Indian Universities, colleges, and schools. This exam is held all over India and at 83 topics, run by the National Testing Agency.

Students who are either studying or completed their master's degree can appear in this exam. This exam is one of the top 10 toughest exams in India. This exam is basically for a Ph.D., Doctor of Philosophy. After completing the course, the student is honored with a doctor’s degree by the juries of board members of the UGC net.

5. Graduate Aptitude Exams In Engineering

The GATE exam is for engineers who appear in graduate engineering programs at IITs. The India Institute of Science takes charge of these exams. This exam is thought to be the toughest exam in India. It is an online setup based on the curriculum of four years of learning during engineering sessions.

This exam is based on general intelligence, engineering, mathematics, and technology. It is one of the toughest exams, a large number of engineers appear in this exam and only 15 to 20% are able to qualify for the exams. It is a thorough process of checking how well the candidate knows Engineering or technology.

6. CAT- Common Admission Exam

The common Admission Exam is also one of the top 10 toughest exams in India. This exam is held once a year in the month of November for the top management college for the course MBA. Students are invited by the management colleges with the best score on the CAT exam. Many business colleges or management institutes require a minimum score specified by the colleges for admission. 

Many people think this exam is not as hard as the civil service exam. But actually, it's not as easy as people think. To qualify for this exam we must study regularly for years, a lot of practice is required to attempt the CAT exams. The aim or goal of this is how the candidate can handle different types of situations,

The people are placed to face business managers and business dealing. Every year 2 to 5 lakh people try for this exam and only 1500 to 2000 people can qualify. The candidates are selected for the management course MBA business management colleges. 

7. CLAT – Common Law Admission Exam

The common law admission exam is also one of the top 10 toughest exams in India.  This test is for the law entrance exam. Students who are undergraduates and graduates get into the law program. This exam is connected with the consortium of the National Law University.

This exam is about the current state of the law and economy. Questions are asked about the latest information about the law. The common law admission exam is an entrance exam for getting into LLB and LLM programs. This is held once a year. LLB requires a 12th class, and for the course for a master's degree LLM you need to have a bachelor's degree.

8. CA- Chartered Accountant Exam

The Chartered Accountant exam is also thought to be one of the top 10 toughest exams. This is the professional exam for those who want to become a CA. They have to pass this exam. This exam has been conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

This exam is held in three parts, the common proficiency exam, the CA final exam, and the interested professional competence course (IPCC). The CA exam also has three parts, the CA foundation exam, the CA intermediate exam, and the Final CA exam.

9. NDA-National Defence Academy

The National Defense Academy exam is conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB). This exam is very hard for the selection of Army, Navy, and Air Force officers. This exam is taken twice a year for the best candidate for the most famous military academy in the country.

This exam is a written exam and finally, it moves to the SSB interview. To get into the NDA candidates must qualify for all the rounds of the exam. The selected candidates are sent for special training for seven years. They are trained physically and educationally in all aspects of an officer in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.   

10. NID-National Institute of Design Entrance Exam

This exam is also among the top 10 toughest exams. This is a design aptitude exam that is taken by the National Institute of Design Admission Committee. The committee chooses the candidate for Bachelor of Design and Master of Design. 

This exam is held in two steps: NID prelims and NID mains. The candidates have to join the institute as per the percentage of the exam in different places across the country.

All the toughest exams in India are as above, the candidate who qualifies for any of the exams is considered as a qualified personality. They are doctors, engineers, professors, managers, lawyers, and officers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Those who set the goal to qualify for any of the above exams achieve a highly professional successful life.
